Tick, Tick, Tick...Saying Goodbye to 2009

January highlights:
Chris coached Craig's 6th grade basketball team; Christine had many stake meetings preparing for stake youth conference; Christine also searched feverishly for a stake YW campsite & was able to get a reservation at Camp Alpine; Cassie sang a solo in sacrament meeting.

February highlights:
Chris got the Milgard Plant Manager of the Year award; Steelers won the Super Bowl; celebrated Valentine's Day & Oregon's birthday with Kathy & Wally @ McCormick & Schmick's; Portland Home & Garden show; stake youth conference activity; Christine played piano for a wedding; Craig went cross-country skiing with scout troop; Christine got women's open gym basketball night going @ the middle school.

March highlights:

Spring band concerts; solo ensemble; Craig got braces; road trip to California for Solvang cycling; March madness in Ramona with Bob; hoops with the local gals @ the middle school.

April highlights:

Craig built his own road bike with the help of Grandpa & Dad; YCL camp retreat @ Magness; ladies hoops finishes up; Christine starts online classes.

May highlights:

Camporee; long course swim meets; Colin goes on field trip to Tillikum; Chris travels on business; Christine overwhelmed writing papers; girls camp meetings; Memorial Day weekend trip to Tacoma.

June highlights:

Chris in Chicago; field trip fun; Cassie's 8th grade graduation; Putnam reunion in Idaho Falls; long course swim meets; Craig took off to AZ; Cassie attended EFY in Tacoma; girls camp meetings & prep; Chris called as EQ president; Christine closed the online class screen.

July highlights:

Spent 4th of July in Tacoma; Cassie took a club swimming trip to Moses Lake; Chris cycled STP; Craig went to scout camp; Chris business traveled to Chicago; Christine led the 4th year adventure to Kahneeta; more swim meets.

August highlights:

Chris, Cassie & Craig cycled the Tour de Stake; Christine & kids vacationed in Eagle; Cassie competed in a sprint triathlon in Cottage Grove; Christine directed a successful stake girls camp; ran Hood 2 Coast the night she got home from camp!

September highlights:

Chris and MNF turned 40; high school water polo season started; middle school soccer began; Christine became co-president of the elementary school parent group; Colin ran 7 laps around the high school track for school Lion Walk fundraiser.

October highlights:

Watched Craig run soccer fields in the valley; cheered for Cassie's water polo team; Chris & Christine took a quick roadtrip to Modesto to watch polo tournament; Cassie turned 15.

November highlights:

Newberg High School won state water polo championship! Craig earned his Life rank; Chris & Christine traveled to AZ to visit the Dunford's & cycle the Tour de Tucson; attended Sean's homecoming in Eagle.

December highlights:

High school swim team started; Craig turned 13 & had a fun birthday party bowling & eating Chipotle with his friends; Colin turned 7 & also chose to go bowling with his friends. Chris traveled to AZ on business; Christine directed a parent group meeting for the first time.

The highlights we are looking forward to in MMX:

-State high school swim team championship meets.

-Middle school boys basketball games & cheering for Craig.

-Colin learning to swim across the pool.

-Another round of stake girls camp.

-Wearing out & getting new running shoes for everyone in the family.

-EQ socials.

-FINALLY getting back in our newly remodeled church building.

-Traveling to new destinations.

-Cycling in unfamiliar zip codes.

-Cassie getting her driver's license; first DATE!!!

-Colin's baptism.

-Craig's Eagle project & court of honor.

-Laying on a hot sandy beach somewhere.
