Waterfall Hike

Double Falls
Drake Falls
We made it! After much anticipation, we finally took a day trip/hike to Silver Falls State Park. It was pretty amazing. The park has 10 waterfalls you can hike to. Some of the taller falls you can hike behind. The vegetation was lush & green. I bet it's even more spectacular in the fall when the leaves turn.
Chris said the hike brought back some good ol' memories of his childhood when his Dad would take him hiking.

After hiking 30 or so minutes, Colin wasn't too keen on the whole idea anymore. We had to keep coaxing him along.
Cassie & Craig tried to carry him out using the 2-man wrist hold. That didn't last long.
We have also made it to our last week of summer vacation. : (
The kids have back to school nights this week. They are excited to get their schedules. I volunteered to work at the middle school back to school nights. I'm really looking forward to doing a lot of volunteer work in the schools this year! It's been a while.
We're taking a trip south for the Labor Day weekend to do some biking, swimming, water-sliding and some human race running. It's an attempt to squeeze every ounce of summer fun out before the school bell rings.

We were there too! How funny! We went on Saturday around noon-3ish, I suppose. It is beautiful. It's changed a lot since we were last there, years ago, as newlyweds. I love the photos! Our camera decided to give up the ghost that very morning so we were left photo-less. :( Too bad we missed eachother.
