Arctic Blast

You would think it was the perfect storm or something. Even my soap operas get pre-empted b/c the local news cannot stop covering the snow we are getting.
Chris & I ventured out in the white stuff for several hours today. We drove up to Hillsboro with no problem. Just drove slow. We made it over to the mall in Tigard & heard they were starting to close up at 3pm. So, we headed over to Bridgeport in Tualatin. The 4 Runner was starting to have a hard time making through the intersections, so we chained up. Crate & Barrel locked up their doors just as we were leaving at 3pm. Can you believe it! The Saturday before Christmas! A couple knocked on the store's doors & told the clerk they had just drove an hour to come shop there.
We did not see any snow plows out working the roads. Pretty pathetic. No wonder everyone in the rest of the world thinks we're wimps! Have they heard they don't clear our roads? We just cancel & shut down here.
And by the way, our stake also canceled church tomorrow.
