Weekend in Ashland

Our family headed South and played in Ashland for a couple of days. Friday was a balmy 85* & sunshine aplenty. We went to Emigrant Lake & did the water slides. On Colin's first time down, he sat on Chris' lap. After that, he went solo & in his words, "it was the bestest day ever!"
Chris & I did some biking that evening. We rode the Bear Creek Greenway that connects Ashland to Medford.

Saturday we woke up to grey skies. We couldn't even see Mt. Ashland because it was lost in the fog. But that did not deter Chris from doing the epic ride he planned on. In this photo, we caught him 5 miles up the side of the mountain. Chris is a machine! 8% climb! The fog was starting to burn off.
King of the montain!

As you can see, at the top, the fog was still there & it was COLD!

Keeping warm. You're supposed to have a breath-taking view of the valley beyond the fence behind us.

Too cold for Colin. He stayed in the car & played his DS.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I agree with Colin...I don't know why people thought that malodorous, foul-tasting water was good for you. Great pictures, Christine!
